DESCRIPTION

Helped ideate the idea for my iSchool Senior Capstone project for Synchrony.
I focused on the future of virtual reality stores and e-commerce, as well as the current examples.

Some questions we answered were:

  • What types of general commerce interactions are taking place in a metaverse today? Are there any examples of gifting in the metaverse?​

  • What considerations must be taken into account as both commerce and gifting move to the metaverse? Cultural, political, technical, ethical, etc.

  • How can gifts be tailored virtually (e.g. pulling data algorithmically, using open source information from online presence, etc)? 

  • What would it mean to build a solution that is international vs. national/regional? How could digital solutions either overcome or strengthen different cultural gifting experiences doing one way or the other?

  • How could the metaverse push the adoption curve towards online gifting generally? And vice versa?
